Is currently a professor of Electronic Media Art at the University of Cincinnati. He previously taught interactive design and art at Quinnipiac University, and new media and digital arts at New York University, New School University, and Pratt Institute (Manhattan Campus).
On topics related to visual arts, digital media, and interactive narrative, Peter has been published internationally. Publications include Technology and Design in the peer-reviewed International Journal of Technology, Knowledge and Society; Screen Studies articles on electronic media and digital storytelling published in ArtBook (Wiley-Blackwell Publishers), Web Smart, an interview with BusinessWeek, and The Brave New World of E-Showbiz published by Hearst Publications.
Peter’s media convergence work and interactive installations, including id: Interactive Domain and ANDROG: News with Attitude, have been exhibited in galleries and festivals in the United States and Europe. His project A Matter of Time was shown at the Art Interactive Gallery’s New Media/New Works Exhibition in Boston, MA and at Idea Festival in Louisville, KY.
An award-winning playwright/director with nine plays published by Samuel French, Inc., Peter also was the Producing Artistic Director of Manhattan Rep Company in New York City, where he was a pioneer of interactive theater.
