Lights and art at the Castello Sforzesco: The Terna 01 Award soars to the MiART

Terna participated in the 14th edition of the MiART, the International Fair of Modern and Contemporary Art from April 17-24,  2009, with a projection of the finalist artworks and the winners of the Terna 01 Award in the magical setting of the Castello Sforzesco in Milan.  The 125 artworks inspired by the theme “Transmitting Energy:  a contemporary metaphor” were admired during the Fair’s inaugural evening in a virtual exhibit based on a play of light and colors that amazed the numerous public.  The virtual exhibit that was held in Rome during the Christmas holidays was also of impressive visual impact where the finalist artworks were projected on the façades of the principal buildings in the historic center.  The first edition of the Award whose curators were Gianluca Marziani and Francesco Cascino, registered a vast interest among artists, the public and the media:  over 3,000 artworks participated, the dedicated website www.premioterna.it received over 600 thousand visitors with 3 million pages visited and a wide  press, web, radio and TV coverage, with over 400 articles and reportings.
