The finalists and winners of the Terna 01 Award were displayed in Siracusa during the G8 Environment meeting. From April 22- 24, 2009, as part of the art initiative REstART the artworks inspired by the theme “Transmitting Energy: a contemporary metaphor” were projected in the Palazzo Municipale in Piazza Duomo. Terna’s commitment continues for the electricity grid’s sustainable development and for supporting and promoting culture and art. The winning artworks of the Terna 01 Award were already exhibited at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome last November, in the principal squares of Rome’s historical center and in Milan on the façade of Castello Sforzesco during the Miart, the International Fair of Modern and Contemporary Art in Milan. Following the experience of the G8 Environment meeting in Siracusa, the artworks will also be exhibited in June at the Chelsea Museum in New York.
